"Power House" Brisbane, Australia 2006 / Planning by the incorporated foundation "Tampopo's House"
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Basic Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, many cultural events were held in both Australia and Japan. The "Hana" Art Center opened in 2004 in "Tampopo's House", Nara prefecture, as a place of expression for handicapped people. That place has made connections has welcomed visitors and students domestic and even international.
As a result, the Australian government chose the Hana Art Center's plan as the community program of the Australia-Japan Foundation. I stayed in Brisbane for one month with 12 other representatives. We exhibited at the "International Ceramic Art Exhibition Verge 2006" and made an activity report. We also held a workshop with Australian NPO "Access Arts" members.
