A lot of unexplored and spectacular ground exists in Patagonia, South America. Developers tried to buy the land to use it as a sight-seeing attraction, when some people started to say that these things are putting animals in a critical situation. Global warming is affecting life there, too. So, the Government of Argentina, State's Governments, and countries around Patagonia began to heed the warning about destruction of the environment.

This is one of the first things that made people think about how to coexist with the environment and protection of the environment by using cultural action.

A contemporary art exhibition will be held in Spring 2007 with USUAIA in Tierra Del Fuego (Fin del Mundo), Patagonia. The Flag Project in that exhibition will exhibit 5000 flags that were made by artists from all over the world.
